Commentary

This is for those people who email me and say the nothing bad is happening as a result of the shutdown orders.  I have posted on the horrific job losses.  Now, as you would expect, people are deeply anxious and depressed and use of mental illness meds has risen substantially.  (Drug Use Report)  I cannot at all understand people being so concerned about a relatively few deaths from coronavirus and being so callous and disregardful of the enormous tragedy being imposed on tens of millions of Americans.

As you might imagine, since beginning to write about coronavirus I have received a fair number of comments.  Some, maybe properly, call me an idiot and obscene names, but the vast majority have been kind, appreciative words and I am incredibly grateful for and impressed by all the insightful ideas people have suggested to me.  I really do appreciate it.
