Disease management vendor Omada Health has secured yet another large round of financing, $73 million worth.  Lot of hype around the new generation of disease management vendors, but I predict the same outcome in terms of value to patients and payers and returns to investors--not much.

A Transunion study indicates the patients are continuing to see a rise in the share of medical costs that they pay, particularly for inpatient services, as the average cost-share rose from around $4100 in 2017 to  $4650 in 2018.

Patients Like Me apparently is also liked by UnitedHealth Group, as the uber-acquisitive firm is buying the creator of communities for patients with particular diseases.  The patients' data is collected and sold to drug companies and others to generate revenue.
