Healthways, a model history lesson for current hyped companies, has sold its population health unit to Sharecare. It appears that Healthways basically got nothing for the unit.

McKesson is merging its health information technology business with ChangeHealthcare. It will receive cash of about $1.25 billion and will own around 70% of the combined company. ChangeHealthcare is in the revenue cycle management and analytics business and is owned by a PE firm.
Mednax, which owns and manages physician practices, has acquired revenue-cycle vendor Cardon Outreach to add to its services capabilities, and has also added physician practices in Minnesota.
