Definitive Healthcare secures a certain but undisclosed (i.e., small) amount of new funding for its data analytics business, which after reading through several hundred words on a press release I still can't really understand. Less gibberish, more Definitive wording.
Nothing makes my heart leap like seeing two companies with bizarre names merge, because you can just have fun imagining what the new name could be. EmpathIQ has acquired Rivews. Both companies are in the business of helping health care providers manage online reviews and their reputations. Hopefully they aren't advising clients on what their names should be.
WebMD, which itself has been acquired by a larger information and education firm, is buying Aptus Health, which is another health education and patient engagement company.
