According to Mercom Capital, venture funding for HIT was $956 million in 212 deals in the third quarter of 2014, compared to $1.8 billion in 161 deals in the second quarter.  And there were about 55 M & A deals worth $4.7 billion in the third quarter.

Someone needs to check the water in Silicon Valley, Thync has received $13 million for its wearable device that senses your mood and can supposedly apply ultrasound or electricity to make you feel calmer or more energetic.  I am thyncing that the investors tried it on and it actually works to make you dumber.
