Evidently GE wants to do more in health as it is partnering to back startup Evidation Health with $6.2 million. Evidation will evaluate the value of mobile health apps, a worthy goal.
PE firm Marlin Equity has purchased HomecareCRM, a vendor of software solutions for the long-term and post-acute care markets, and intends to merge it with SigmaCare, which has a similar set of offerings.
Ahem, fun coming here. A company called Daqri, which apparently had a few of those to drink, and whose primary business is making an "augmented reality helmet", has acquired another company called Melon, which makes a "smart headband" that takes various biometric measures. That's using the ole Melon, or not. Better wear that helmet, wouldn't want to damage the melons coming up with these ideas.
Sharecare, a mobile wellness and engagement platform, has cared to share that it has acquired Feingold Technologies, which voice and text messages to understand behavior.
