I have noted a couple of times, particularly in regard to the pathetic Star Tribune coverage, that observing the level of fraud committed by Somalis in Minnesota, and probably elsewhere, is not racist or discriminatory, it is telling the truth. And more importantly we should be asked why that group is so crooked and what can be done about it. I said that the problem is that they come from a non-country where stealing from the government, or lack of government, is considered a citizen’s right and duty. The culture is bad. And don’t tell me it is just a few bad apples. Almost certainly most of the Somali community in Minnesota knew about the frauds, many participated in and benefited from those frauds, including a large number who have not been and will not be caught. I don’t recall anyone from that community coming forward about the fraud; in fact many members, especially those in positions of power, did everything they good to keep it from coming to light, probably because they benefited as well. So the community is guilty as can be as far as I am concerned. They could have stopped it and didn’t.
Macalester professor Ahmed Samatar agrees with me, saying this is a cultural issue that shouldn’t be ignored or excused. He said Minnesota’s reputation for being generous to the vulnerable led to it being taken advantage of. That is not correct. Minnesota has its own culture of corruption, among Democrats. They routinely excuse all kinds of bad behavior, as long as it is committed by those who vote for or every more importantly, donate to them. The party is a cesspool of immorality and unethical behavior. Tim Walz is a perfect exemplar–a liar to his core, who was happy to ignore the fraud until it was shoved in his face. Racist Keith Ellison, our Attorney General, is another official who likely benefited and who directly tried to protect the fraudsters.
Real justice would be investigating everyone who in any way benefited from this horrendous ripoff of the Minnesota taxpayers, starting with the Incompetent Bloward and Ellison and working down through the Dem party ranks. A lot of that money undoubtedly ended up in that party’s officials hands.

As Kevin notes – its almost certain that most of the Somalian community knew of the fraud. The supposed number of children meals served exceeded the total child population of the twin cities by 2x or 3x. Its impossible to believe that Ellison and the rest of local government didnt know about the fraud.
While the FBI concluded that Ilhan Omar did not know of the fraud, the Somalian community is relatively small and she certainly knew everyone of the players involved. Its difficult to believe she didnt have some inkling of the extent of the fraud.
Walz should be put away for just being himself. Liar coverer, etc.
