Gender-affirming care is not only the worst framing euphemism invented by the whacked pro(re)gressive ideologues, but in practice has destroyed the lives of thousands of children. It is truly gender-disaffirming care, telling a child to be dissatisfied with how they were born and ruining their bodies’ biochemical balance. There is absolutely zero science supporting the notion that anyone is “born in the wrong body”. There is lots of science showing just how damaging this supposed “care” has been to children. Outcomes among US patients were analyzed in the study. Those who had surgery were at much higher risk of anxiety, depression, suicide and substance abuse. The honest, actual truth is that children are being actively recruited into something that is incredibly destructive to them; children who have no capacity for actual informed consent; children who are having irreversible health damage foisted on them. Why–so that physicians, pyschologists and social workers can reap immense profits from the life-long health care and mental health needs of these poor children.
This is nothing but child abuse and the practitioners should be imprisoned and made to pay millions to every child afflicted by this garbage.
Indeed. I suspect that as new litigation and law suits increase and accelerate, filed by those receiving this ‘care’ and then, realizing how damaging it was, thus seeking compensation for ‘damages’, the medical practice/professions will then start reversing their inclinations to involve themselves in these harmful (but currently profitable) practices.
The profits may go to the hospitals that perform these mutilations but I think the practitioners are deluded ideologues for the most part. When the AMA recommends not putting the sex of the child on the birth certificate by the delivering doctor because we can’t yet know the gender of the child it is not an economic issue. It’s insanity writ large and the fact that a mental illness has been “ transitioned” into a civil rights movement.
