Transcarent sells services to employers to help employees and their families navigate the health system, find the best prices, get treatment for certain kinds of conditions. It is paying $621 million to buy Accolade, which offers a "personalized" health care platform and similar navigation services. Both companies are heavy on the hype and short on financial performance. Accolade, for example, had $414 million in revenue and lost $100 million. Wow, kind of hard to lose that much money on that much revenue.

I got pushed to have my husband enroll in one of these for “care management”. That was the solution instead of paying for his diabetes meds. Thank god im a lawyer. I just said no thanks and appealed and threatened litigation. The meds are covered. God help people who are stuck with this alternative. Its a way for health plans to limit their costs and nothing else.
its been horrible working with transcarent. I have to work with them and then the pharmacy. Their IT department is the worse. I have two ongoing IT issues that have not been resolved – the first one is more than 6 days (a missing prescription paid tab) and the 2nd, can’t even send the prescription to the pharmacy because there is nothing to select unless you have no insurance. They dont have a customer rating as well after the chat or the call is done.
