Trying to Stay Positive Isn’t Easy

Here is the best thing about the election results–conservatives will soon be out from under the Trump anchor.  The electorate was clearly fed up with his narcissistic, vindictive approach to politics and he is paying the price for his own stupidity in endorsing awful candidates like Paxton and Graham.  But in 2028, it will be harder for the Dems to run their Trump Derangement playbook.  And of course, the Dems have no rational, sensible policies on any topic so they won’t accomplish anything and having won so big, the public will blame them for whatever goes wrong.  So I expect the rebound will be swift.  Any Republican who wants to win in 2028 needs to completely divorce him or herself from Trump.  I view it as a real positive that Vance likely can’t run now.  Rubio would be an outstanding candidate who can rebuild the GOP’s standing with Hispanics and Asians and independents.

So I am trying to see any glimmer of hope, but it is truly an awful outcome for the company, because the Dem party is run by and represented by true lunatics with bad policies.  Hopefully voters see that but if this trend continues in 2028, we are truly done as a country and society.  It has happened to every other powerful nation and it can happen to us.
