Because they do. We really are at a bad tipping point in this country. We have a political party in this country that openly celebrates killing and other violence against its opponents; that threatens them with jail if it gains power, that is openly anti-semitic, racist and has zero understanding of how to create and maintain economic success. Economic success is the key to a good society; it reduces stress and anxiety, it creates meaningful work for citizens; it allows a rising standard of living. Our country has a good economy because it is largely based on free market principles–individuals make their own decisions about what work to do, what goods and services to produce, what goods and services to buy, what to invest in. We aren’t perfect; there is far too much government interference and regulation that hinders even faster economic growth and we have too many government programs that permit and encourage peope to be slackers. But we are better that almost anywhere else in the world, which is why so many people seek to come here, legally and illegally.
Minnesota is a prime example of the kind of economy and society Dems run everywhere. It is essentially a kleptocracy–huge amounts of money are taken from the taxpayers and allowed to be stolen by fraudsters as long as they share the proceeds with Dem politicians. The other essential feature is vote-buying using those taxpayers funds to pay for food, health care, shelter, and anything else for people who don’t really want to work, as long as they vote for Dems. When the fraud and vote-buying don’t work, there is always outright voter fraud to fall back on.
Society is based not on merit and behavior–how hard do you work and what do you contribute to society, but on surface factors that put you in a favored or unfavored class–what is your skin color, your gender (pick one of 462), your sexual orientation, your religion, your ethnic background; anything that can be used to claim you are a victim or you are an oppressor. It is a bleak and depressing vision of the world; one which leads to widespread mental illness, hopelessness and ultimately violence, as we see in Europe and in many US cities. That is the Dem vision and the Dem society. It obviously is a dead end; there is no future for a society based on this kind of economy and ideology.
Conservatives don’t usually do a good job of painting the choice clearly and they sometimes fall prey to competing on vote-buying programs. But they have the clearer sense of how a country becomes better, does better for its citizens. If you don’t vote, and don’t vote for people like Michelle Tafoya and Lisa Demuth and Ron Schutz in Minnesota, you will get the literal moron Peggy Flanagan, mean and incompetent Amy Klobuchar, and racist crook Keith Ellison running your government. You will get El Sayed, Telarico and all the other lunatics in the Dem party. And you will not have a country worth living in.
