First of all, there isn’t that much total ice mass loss in Antarctica, if any. Second, whatever ice loss there is, is almost certainly the result of natural cycles, not putative human-caused global warming. But those facts won’t stop the climate hysterics from telling us all that the oceans are rising at an alarming rate and going to drown everyone within 100 miles of a coast. As more people get skeptical and even cynical about the real motives of the hysterics, i.e., to make money from the renewable energy scam, they become even more desperate to tell lies regarding the climate. But somehow research contradicting the lies manages to get published, although the authors almost always have to make a bow toward the climate religion, even when what they report doesn’t support it. This post describes a couple of studies which show that any ice melt in a specific region of Antarctica is likely due to wind circulation changes and isn’t impacted now and isn’t likely to be impacted in the future by any change in CO2 levels.
