For many years, when we had several high-powered hurricanes hit Florida or the East Coast, the climate hysterics were in full-throated screaming about global warming being the cause. Now we have had several years of very few and relatively mild hurricane impacts and we hear nothing. The truth, as usual, is that hurricane frequency is cyclical, with no particular pattern. Looking back at a long period of time, there is no increase in either hurricane numbers or strength. None, and there isn’t going to be and if there is any human-caused global warming, it isn’t impacting hurricanes. This post does a good job of presenting again what has been pointed out repeatedly and ignored by the mainstream media and buried by “science” journals. Just look at the charts at the link. Years with high numbers of hurricanes or greater strength are just random. The trend line hasn’t changed and it isn’t going to change. (Homewood Post)
