How Bad Is the Fraud in Minnesota?

By October 9, 2026Commentary2 min read

Just because the massive fraud in Minnesota was finally uncovered despite Walz’, Ellison’s and other Dems efforts to cover up, and thanks to persistent federal investigators, don’t think it has stopped.  It hasn’t.  And Walz and other Dems have tried to minimize the extent of the fraud, pooh-poohing the $9 billion number, which is simply astounding.  Joe Thompson is the very strong US Attorney for Minnesota who led the investigation.  No one has questioned his competence or integrity.  It is a shame he resigned, apparently out of frustration with the Trump administration.  But Thompson was recently interviewed and made it clear that he stands by the $9 billion number, in fact he said it appeared to him that at least half of all Minnesota Medicaid spending was fraudulent.  That is just the Medicaid program.  Dems would like to only count the fraud that is actually prosecuted, but that is the tip of the iceberg.  Prosecutors are overwhelmed and it is frankly too late to re-capture much of the lost money.  Taxpayers should be outraged and remember which party protected and encouraged and benefited from the fraud.   (JP Substack)
