Happy Equinox Day, everyone, all downhill from here til December 21st. Although I am sure that global warming will screw this up to, change the length of the day or something. In any event, Nature is a supposedly prestigious scientific journal. I subscribe to keep track of what is going on across many fields of science. Nature, however, has become a typical ideological rag, which publishes poor quality research as long as it fits the editors political philosophy. No where is this more true than in climate non-science. The journal has been forced to retract or correct a number of pathetic climate articles. Just recently, it was forced to retract a study claiming global warming was worsening droughts. The study relied on obviously erroneous methodology, which either Nature’s peer review or Nature’s editors should have picked up on, but they had little interest in doing that. So instead outsiders made it all too obvious how blatantly erroneous the study was and Nature had to issue yet another retraction. The safest thing for the journal to do is to publish every climate study with a warning label that says “Subject to Likely Retraction in the Future”. (NTZ Post)
