Okay, let’s get this over with, another week or so of one of the most worthless papers in the country, used to illustrate the Dem-run media systematic attacks on conservatives.
Sept. 3–ICE is really bad but it has been paying millions to country jails in Minnesota, helping defray the cost of running those facilities. The U of Minn. is leading a coalition to push seasonal vaccines, claiming that studies show they are effective, but that is simply a gross exaggeration. Seasonal flu vaccines, for example, have been amply demonstrated to have extremely limited effectiveness. Absurd climate terrorism about missing emissions targets. It doesn’t matter.
Sept. 4–I posted a bit about this, but a career criminal who should be locked up for life killed two people and wounded several others at a Minneapolis apartment complex. The Strib expresses concern, but it is partly responsible for cheering on the weak-on-crime Dems in Minneapolis. Iran terrorism. ICE terrorism. And so on.
Sept. 5–The Strib notes again that, gee, maybe that person who killed two people should have not had a gun and not been on the loose. Here is a classic example of a Strib misleading headline, in this case cribbed from the always execrable NYTimes. “Schools aiding minorities may lose their tax-exemption status.” This is a grotesque twisting of what actually happened. The Feds are telling schools that if they discriminate against certain groups in offering aid, they could lose tax-exempt status. Climate terrorism, about floods becoming more common. That is a flat-out lie.
Sept. 6–Trump is hurting the Minnesota Rep. Governor candidate. Trump bad, very bad. The Strib, which cheerled efforts to legalize marijuana, notices that THC is bad for driving. The US isn’t providing aid for HIV in Africa. At some point all these countries have to figure out how to handle their own problems.
Sept. 7–not quite as bad as California’s high-speed rail to nowhere, but our light rail project has become absurdly expensive and is far, far behind schedule. Various local governments are fighting over who has to pay for this albatross so maybe more won’t be built. Mail-in voting rules may make it hard for Dems to engage in the usual fraud and stay in power. The University of Minnesota is launching an ad campaign, another waste of taxpayer funds. The business section gets in on the act by going negative on the Venezuelan oil deal and trade terrorism.
Sept. 8–Several locked addiction centers in Minnesota closed and people are nervous because we have a lot of addicts that need to be locked up for treatment, for their own safety and the safety of others. Our whacked environmentalists are insisting on making life impossible for farmers by limiting fertilizer use. Trump is hurting the GOP, Trump bad, Trump very bad. Trump has pissed Canadians off and tourist groups are trying to get hem to come back. A “far right” party has won an election in Germany; it isn’t far anything, and funny how the Strib never describes a candidate as far left. The op-ed page has a humorous piece defending use of tech in the classroom but fails to note the real reason–in Minnesota teachers are generally incompetent at anything but indoctrination, so the only way a child will learn anything is from a computer.
Sept. 9–Inflation is hurting businesses, funny how the story doesn’t mention the cost of government–which is the single biggest cause of inflation. Iran sympathy. A bizarre modern sculpture was removed from the Kennedy Center–Trump bad, very bad. The Smithsonian is being forced to stop displaying whacked woke garbage–Trump bad, very bad. The University of Minnesota campus is unsafe, just like the rest of the Twin Cities. Who knew demonizing and defunding police would result in this?
