According to the US Census Bureau, since January of 2025, when Bidementia left office, almost 3 million illegal and legal immigrants have left the country. The vast majority were illegals and most were involuntarily deported. In addition to the removal of illegal immigrants, the entrance of millions more has likely been stopped. We should hope that Trump follows through on securing the border through physical means. No other country in the world permits this kind of nonsense. ( Well, maybe Britain and Spain, but Europe has wised up too.)
The research has become very clear that illegal immigrants in particular have a very high cost, far more than whatever benefits they may bring. They drive down wages and take jobs that native born Americans should fill. They raise the cost of housing and health care and everything else. They are a frequent source of fraud on government programs. Many are criminals and continue their life of crime in the US.
The removal of all these illegal immigrants has played havoc with the job numbers. But it hasn’t had a negative impact on the employment situation. Employment is growing and the growth is almost all among native-born Americans. Wages are rising at an acceptable if not great pace.
The biggest concern for Democrats is how they will replace all these fraudulent votes that have kept them in power. I assume that if they can get away with it they will just mail these people a ballot wherever they are overseas so they can keep voting. Or they will have their boiler rooms full of people who just make up votes make up the difference. Either way, it is a bit of a problem for them, but the Dems’ creativity when it comes to vote fraud is unparalleled.
Legal immigration can be very beneficial, if it is limited to people who have a job lined up and will be self-supporting, particularly if they bring skills we are short of or capital to start or invest in businesses. Very limited if any immigration should be permitted from third world countries where people have no experience with living in a democracy and under the rule of law. Muslims and others who adhere to value systems that are completely antithetical to those set out in the constitution should never be admitted. I am all in favor of lots of legal immigration under these conditions. Asylum should be eliminated except in extremely rare cases. We should not end up with half the population of Somalia or Guatemala.
