We had a tragic episode in Minneapolis, one that is a daily occurrence, when the resident of an apartment building shot and killed two people and wounded numerous others, including police officers. The person who did this is a career criminal with tens of arrests. He had threatened to kill people. He wasn’t supposed to have a firearm but did, as people issued him a permit despite his failing to meet the criteria. The authorities were well aware of this individual and his activities but did nothing to stop him or really to institutionalize him. Mary Moriarty, the Hennepin County district attorney specifically refused to prosecute him. She is directly responsible for those deaths and the families should sue her. Even the Strib was outraged by the sequence of events. But this is what you get when you elect woke morons to any office.

He had a permit to carry authorized by the idiots running Hennepin County.
I should have been clearer, my point was that he should not have been issued a permit under the criteria set out in the law.
