Who Is Ice Detaining and Deporting

Every illegal immigrant is by definition a criminal, they broke US laws in entering the country without following the prescribed laws for doing so.  The whackos who think we should just open the borders, which no other country in the world does, try to claim that everyone who wants to come to the US is just a wonderful person, ignore the plainly available evidence and lie about who ICE is detaining and deporting.  The Tennessee report on crimes committed by illegal immigrants should alarm everyone.  These people also ignore the obvious negative impacts on prices, the job market for American-born workers and those here legally and on government spending.

As the Center for the American Experiment demonstrates in this post, the easily available data shows just how many deportees and detainees had a criminal record in their countries of origin and or in the US.  The stepped up enforcement of the laws has led to a massive 75% or more drop in people attempting to cross illegally.  And most of those who do so are immediately turned back.  Here is some scary data.  In 2024,  the last year of the Bidementia administration, about 280,000 people were put in ICE detention facilities.  Of these, 35% had a criminal record or criminal charge pending.  Some of these were actually released into the country.  In 2025, around 310,000 people were detained, and 58% had a criminal record or criminal charge pending.  Almost none of those were released into the US.  So far in 2026, almost 356,000 people have been detained, with 60% having a criminal record or pending charge.    (CAE Post)
