The Dangers to the Success of the United States

By July 5, 2026Commentary2 min read

The purpose of any country should be to improve the quality of life of the citizens living in that country.  The United States has done that more successfully than any other country in the world.  But that success is endangered, as it always is, by radical, extreme, far left, violent, insane Dems, and that is the mainstream Dem party now, no one can contest that.  The Wall Street Journal has an outstanding editorial on July 3rd listing the main dangers to sustaining American success.  The editorial may be paywalled but I think not, it is here, and hopefully you can find a way to read it.  (WSJ Editorial)

As the editorial says, and I think these threats were listed in pretty much the right order, the biggest danger is our public school system, which is not educating children and is indoctrinating them in that far left ideology.  The monolithic whacked ideology of the universities in this country, which have succeeded in corrupting every institution in the country.  The extreme divisiveness in today’s politics, which the WSJ fails to note is often driven by foreign actors.  The absurd state of our public welfare programs, which include Medicare and Social Security.  Failure to rein those in will doom the country to financial turpitude.

Ronald Reagan, our last great President, said it best, each generation of Americans has to keep the country in good shape and protect its ideals, and then hope the next generation does the same.  Well the youngest generation right now looks like a bunch of idiots.
