Back up a day, and do Sunday June 7, which I missed–the Minneapolis police chief had all kinds of issues. Radical judges are letting the ICE protestors who committed criminal acts off the hook. Hegseth is refusing to promote officers because of the color of their skin or their gender, it is just horrible that in the military of all places, he is insisting on merit as the sole criteria. A few of those arrested in connection with the January 2020 invasion of the capitol have since had other charges–the whole point of this story is to make these people, who were Trump supporters mixed in with FBI informants and left-wing agitators, look bad. Which is hilarious since the Strib never does the same with Antifa or any of the many other violent radical leftists.
June 8–Let’s see, where to start. The headline story is another inflation-topping increase in tuition at the University of Minnesota, which dropped a 6.5% increase on students last year. This for a pathetic education that largely consists of woke indoctrination. The U, like most universities is incredibly poorly run–heavily overstaffed, overpaid professors and administrators, inefficient use of buildings, etc. And then there are the Minneapolis schools, in crisis mode for over a decade because the education there is so bad that the number of children using the schools has dropped dramatically. Schools will have to be closed, but nothing will be done to actually improve education and reduce indoctrination. And of course there is more inflation terrorism, and suggestions that consumers are spending less, but they aren’t according to all the official data and the big retailers. And there is a special story that I have to do a separate post on.
June 9–More illegal immigration terrorism as these criminals are being deported to horrible countries. Most Dems don’t believe in democracy or in American values or that America is a good country and media outlets like the Strib play a big part in creating those attitudes.
June 10–Minnesota’s politicians said they would tone down the rhetoric after the assassination of some state legislators, but they haven’t, let by the absolute scumbag Tim Walz, who continues with his facism and Nazi characterizations of anyone to the right of Mao. Another Minneapolis neighborhood is overrun with drug use and homelessness.
June 11–last day for a while, leaving tomorrow. The lines of attack are well represented in today’s paper. Inflation is bad; except it really wasn’t, other than energy prices, increases were quite limited and the overall prices for goods were actually down for the month. Immigration nonsense continues unabated. The city of Minneapolis, the same city spending $1.4 million to help the Mayor and the City Council get along, claims that the illegal immigrant enforcement surge cost it $700 million and it wants federal and state help. The city is failing and shouldn’t get a dime. What cost it was promoting resistance to a legitimate law enforcement effort. If it had cooperated, there would have been no “damage”. And then we read in the business section about companies moving operations and laying off people in Minneapolis, while the city is going to have a drag show in City Hall. That tells you everything you need to know about the incompetence and frivolity of those running the city. It isn’t going to get better, it is going to decline even faster. The city is broke, can’t raise taxes and fees fast enough to make up for reckless spending.
