May 26–somehow I lost my May 25 paper, a real tragedy and I am sure I missed some outstanding journalism. On Tuesday however the Strib was in its usual good form–promoting bad Rep candidates, dumping on the Iran conflict, etc.
May 27–Out weird Lt. Gov. Flanagan is running for US Senate and is actively promoting anger and violence toward Reps–she thinks this will help her with mainstream whacked Dems, and the Strib praises her efforts. Redistricting terrorism. Heat wave in Europe terrorism; by the way, not mentioned is the extremely cold Arctic. Housing troubles in Minnesota, but no one wants to live here anyway. Unfortunately Trump appears to be in great health.
May 28–Minneapolis police chief quits, but don’t worry he will be replaced by someone even worse. The Strib engages in the usual delusional Dem thinking, imagining that it might win in Texas, even against a bad Rep candidate.
May 29–lot of press on the screwed-up Mpls police dept. Trump’s settlement on the IRS illegally releasing his returns is corrupt, in fact anything Trump does is corrupt.
May 30–Another pointless prosecution of an ICE officer while criminals run wild in Minneapolis. Global warming terrorism with a fake “study” claiming it will be much warmer in the next five years.
May 31–Minnesota is very expensive to live in, the STrib discovers, but fails to attribute it to Dem policies–over-regulation of housing and child care, higher taxes and fees for everything, stupid energy mandates that raise electricity prices. A Minneapolis neighborhood that was trendy is not drug and crime ridden. The Strib discovers that the whackos in Gaza force girls to marry at incredibly early ages, ruining their lives.
June 1–Police overtime spending is high, maybe because the force is completely understaffed and no one wants to be a police officer in Minneapolis. Minnesota Dems endorse lunatic, violence promoting candidates and the Strib cheers.
June 2–The state GOP had a moment of silence for Derek Chauvin, the Minneapolis policeman wrongfully convicted of murdering scumbag George Floyd, and the Strib is horrified. Strib doing its best to demonize Rep candidates and mythologize the Dem ones.
June 3–The Strib continues to devote an unusual amount of coverage to the Rep candidate endorsement and convention process and outcomes, mostly with the goal of making the party seem dysfunctional and radical. The US isn’t going to keep spending money on wasted climate change garbage, which is an environmental tragedy. The federal government may stop giving grants to NGOs that are Dem fronts in disguise, another tragedy.
June 4–the funniest story yet is in the business section, where we learn that the Strib is planning to convert to a non-profit and along the way is laying off yet another round of employees. The paper is already technically a non-profit since it loses money by the bucketfuls. It moved its printing out of the business-friendly state of Minnesota to Iowa. It is in desperate straits, and was begging the legislature for a bailout. No Republican in their right mind would vote to fund a newspaper that is blatantly an arm of the whacked DFL party in the state. Things won’t get better at the Strib til they fix their ideology-driven staff, starting at the top. Steve Grove needs to be fired, along with every editor, especially the editor of the opinion page. The paper should start actually doing journalism, giving readers an objective look at what is happening in the state and doing real investigations to reveal fraud, waste, corruption and other issues. But there is zero chance of that now.
In other June 4 news, we learn that it is racist for the Reps to do gerrymandering in response to the Dems racist gerrymandering. The Strib continues trying to stoke dissension among Reps. Tariff terrorism returns. Transgender delusion is less accepted by America, primarily because it is clearly a mental illness.
June 5–In a classic example of what is wrong with American health care, the University of Minnesota had a health plan that of course went tube city, due to complete mismanagement, but the CEO was paid $1.28 million in the last year as it went bankrupt. The state is trying to stop fraud, but not too hard, because Dem politicians need their cut. More illegal immigrant deportation terrorism. Trump is trying to keep coal power plants alive, which will keep electricity prices down.
June 6–Unfortunately, the US has had good job growth in recent months, but it can’t be due to Trump policies. Some businesses have the audacity to not participate in the whacked pride month celebrations. Minneapolis is spending a fortune on “George Floyd” square, but making residents pay for it. Just part of the Minnesota mythologizing.
