It is truly hard to keep up with all the lies told by the climate hysterics. The lying extends to publishing all kinds of fake research, literally made up in many cases. The Wall Street Journal tells the very sad story of a significant piece of climate research, originally published in the prestigious journal Nature, that eventually was completely retracted when it became apparent it was essentially falsified. Among other doomstering, the hysterics make up claims of enormous economic damage that will result from human-caused climate change. The now-retracted article was a prominent source for this claim, making the fantastical claim that by 2050 climate change would be costing the world economy $38 trillion every year. Now that was unbelievable on its face, which of course doesn’t deter the hysterics.
As the Journal points out, the seminal study has been cited constantly to justify insane government actions around the world which do immense economic damage. It isn’t climate change that is causing economic damage, it is the hysterical reaction to this non-problem. Germany is exhibit A for how to destroy a thriving economy through climate hysteria. The good news is that the public is on to the scam and lack of public support is forcing governments to act in a more rational fashion. The truth is that if the world were warming, it would be beneficial for economies, not harmful. Science is doing its best to completely blow its credibility via ideologically-driven research. Some one or some group needs to force better research and more skepticism; science is too important to end up being untrustworthy. (WSJ Column)
