No Need For “Both-Sides-ism” in Regard to Political Violence

By April 30, 2026Commentary3 min read

A certain segment of commentators always want to appear balanced so when it comes to politics they typically engage in both-sides-ism, tending to say that both the left and the right have engaged in the same conduct.  When it comes to political violence, like assassinations and assassination attempts, that simply isn’t the case.  And if we don’t acknowledge where the problem actually lies, it won’t get fixed.  The far left, radical, extremist Dem party is responsible for creating the environment in which political violence thrives, it has encouraged it, incited it, supported it, conducted it and celebrated the results.  It even goes so far as to create and fund supposed far-right groups that allegedly are violence prone, as we see in the case of the SPLC.

These lunatics are the real threat to democracy and they are present in alarming numbers in the Dem party, including in its leadership.  Polls repeatedly show that leftist whackos are far more accepting of, indeed demanding of, political violence than are conservatives.  And anyone who is on social media, especially Bluesky, sees it constantly.   Here is an example, a YouGov poll.  The whacked far left that makes up the mainstream Dem party is 6 times more likely to say its okay to feel good about the death of a political opponent.  Whacked young people are twice as likely to hold this view as older ones, that is really a great trend for the future.  Democrats were twice as likely to say violence is justified to reach political goals.

Another poll found that 55% of people who said they were left of center, all of whom must be Dems, thought murdering President Trump was justified.  Stop and think about that for a moment and tell me again which party is responsible for political violence in the country and which party is the bigger threat to democracy, maybe it is the one that favors killing a duly elected President.  So I don’t want to hear the both sides nonsense.  We have a problem with radical leftist violence, not just killings, but assaults, property destruction, church service disruptions, church burnings, speaker disruption, and on and on.  And there is almost none of this on the conservative side, unless the SPLC, George Soros, et al pay for it and create it.
