Debunking Climate Hysteria, April 28, 2026

By April 28, 2026Commentary2 min read

Climate hysterics rely heavily on doom-mongering.  Every kind of horrific event is going to increase and can be ascribed to global warming.  Except there is no evidence for any of this doom-mongering.  More and stronger tornadoes?  Nope.  This post demonstrates how false that claim is, just as with hurricanes.  It looked both at frequency and damage from tornadoes, going back to 1954 in the case of damage, finding that the amount of loss due to tornadoes has actually declined, as you might expect with strengthening of buildings and better warning capabilities.  And looking at frequency back to 1975 also sees no trend in the number of tornadoes.  In fact, it appears that there has been a decline in the number of strong tornadoes, which likely ties into the lower damage impacts.  So once again, we see that if there is a human impact on climate, if anything it is beneficial.   (Pielke Post)

Another common doom claim is that the Atlantic meridional overturning current is in danger of collapsing, wreaking weather havoc.  AMOC is an important component of overall ocean currents, and those currents clearly can impact weather and a long-term change could affect climate.  Collapse might or might not be bad, we really don’t know from past episodes. But we appear to be in no danger because this post that looks at two different data sets shows no change in the variability of the current, and it is pretty variable, naturally, not due to human impacts.  (WUWT Post)

Now we know that the actual data never supports climate hysteria, but don’t worry, that won’t stop ideological scientists, supported by billionaires who make even more money from the renewable energy scam, from continuing to make fake claims and it won’t stop the traditional media from publishing those claims with no skepticism.
