The Enforcement Surges Have Reduced Crime

By April 25, 2026Commentary1 min read

The US is a crime-ridden country, particularly in its cities, as police forces are understaffed and demoralized, prosecutors refuse to prosecute and judges exercise ridiculous leniency for career criminals. President Trump’s law enforcement surges, which focus in part on illegal immigrant criminals, has substantially reduced crime in a number of metro areas.  None more so than in Washington, DC, the nation’s capital, which the President has been determined to render beautiful and safe again.  Here are the results–in the 2026 so far compared to 2025, murder is down 51%, sex abuse, which includes rape, down 36%; robbery down 22% and car theft down 57%.  Looking at all of 2025 compared to 2024, murder decreased 32%, sex abuse by 29%, robbery by 37% and car theft by 23%.

I would guess the residents of DC are pretty happy with safer streets and homes.  You won’t read about any of this in the mainstream media.   Since the Dem-run cities refuse to tackle the crime problem, Trump has done it for them with outstanding results.   (DC Crime Stats)
