Every Time I Leave Minnesota….

By January 25, 2026Commentary4 min read

I don’t want to see anyone get hurt, much less killed.  I would like for people to find methods to handle their differences on appropriate policies and laws in a peaceful and civil manner and seek to change laws and policies they don’t like through the many channels available for that purpose.  I would like everyone to respect the laws that are in place and to have respect and empathy for, and not interfere with the work of, the law enforcement personnel charged with enforcing those laws, they have the worst jobs in the country, under constant attack and threat of violence, including in their personal lives and at their homes.  There would be no reason for anyone to get hurt if people would follow these simple rules.

Instead we get a bunch of moronic local residents who are on a ego trip to pretend that they are doing something so wonderful by engaging in widespread interference with completely legal enforcement of the laws.  This includes large numbers of out-of-staters, paid “protestors”, the rent-a-riot groups funded by billionaires and their willing dupes.  Many of these clowns have threatened law enforcement and their families with violence, thrown things at them, spit on them, destroyed government property, and forcefully interfered with their efforts to detain criminals.  And please explain to me why anyone of these “peaceful” “protestors” would bring a gun with extra magazines to the site of this glorious resistance; what possible good reason could a person have for doing that, what good purpose could they need that gun for?

You have to ask yourself why federal immigration law enforcement personnel have to be the ones to pick up and detain these obvious criminal illegal immigrants.  The person being sought when Saturday’s shooting occurred is a multiple offender, including a domestic assault.  The Democrats are literally protecting these kinds of people–murders, rapists, violent thugs.  Local law enforcement knows who they are, knows that many are still committing additional crimes, but has been forbidden from picking these people and turning them over for deportation.  This is Tim Walz, Jacob Frey, Keith Ellison and other Dem leaders’ pre-occupation for some bizarre reason; this is their idea of “neighbors” and a “community”.  If they let local law enforcement do its job, none of this would be happening; we would have no need for a a large federal law enforcement presence.

I will point out once more that the reason people like the completely despicable Tim Walz and the comically incompetent Mayor Frey are fighting so hard against enforcement of the law, including overtly funding and encouraging “resistance” groups and coordinating with wealthy donors for more funding for those groups, is that the whole edifice of DFL power in Minnesota is built on the use of legal and illegal immigrants for voter fraud–having illegal immigrants vote and engaging in massive ballot harvesting that involves making up voters–and on widespread government program fraud, with the proceeds of that fraud in part being recycled to DFL officials.  Minnesota is literally turning into Somalia in the quality of its government.

The revelation of that corrupt edifice is what will finally bring the DFL in Minnesota down and return the state to some semblance of good government.  And that is what the current federal administration should be focussed on, not the daily activities of immigration law enforcement, however merited.  Time to pause those activities and focus on the real issue–the completely criminal nature of the DFL party run by Tim Walz and his cohorts in that crime.

Very straight talk and solid reasoning. It seems as if local law enforcement has abandoned the field. When a government fails to police the streets,
fails to arrest the wrongdoers, fails to maintain any semblance of order, it is no government at all. But, imagine if Walz was elected to the Vice Presidency
and whether this nation would survive his policy of corruption and destruction? Walz is the Calhoun of our time. And Frey is the Shakespearian court jester.

They are winning the PR war unfortunately. Every time ICE shoots someone, justified or not, it’s a win for the “protesters.” They don’t care about the dead and injured which is why they exploit people like the emotionally disturbed Renee Good.

    Mr Roche,

Great column! DFL is beyond repair. Minnesota voters elect these so called leaders, they deserve each other.

    Thank you.

Also, Walz, et al, support this chaos as a distraction from the monumental fraud that is being outed. Surely…SURELY…there are enough reasonable people in MN that have had enough, seen enough, to vote these goons out of office.

By any chance, are you seeing any signals suggesting this?

FINALLY! All the other reporting has been lazy “it’s George Soros’ fault” nonsense. That’s an interference play so that we won’t look at the DFL and taxpayer money flowing into this.

  • Manfred says:

    Mr. Roche,
    I agree with every word.
One problem: voters in MN and Minneapolis voted for this government.
Walz and Frey and Ellison did not come to power via revolution like Fidel.
They were voted in, twice, by voters.
You get what you vote for.
Elections have consequences, as someone once said.
Will voters change course next time?

  • Wfjag says:

Why are the DLF politicians in Minnesota refusing to let local and state police assist ICE and not permitting state and local jails honoring detainers?

    Two suggestions:

One, in a state in which $9Billion+ has disappeared through fraud and when Billionaires (including some with connections to the CCP) are financing operations, there’s plenty of money being passed around.

Two, this is a run up to operations, probably based out of northern Virginia, to disrupt the 250th year Independence Celebrations. Those involved hate Trump that much. And, this is their 2026 election strategy.

Walz and Frey are afraid their sins associated with enabling Somalian fraud will be uncovered. It’s the only reason Walz was Kamala’s running mate in ‘24: he had access to millions (billions?) of campaign funds from the Somalian welfare fraud. You don’t think the smart liberals wanted to open their personal checkbooks for those fools? Before it’s all over both Walz and Frey will be on the witness stand in Federal court. Keep up the good work Kevin. Thanks from very blue Virginiasota

Well hallelujah! A great analysis from someone with their head screwed on straight. I completely agree with the conclusion and suggested remedy in the last paragraph. It’s safe to say that a substantial percentage of the “worst of the worst” have already been rounded up in the past 30 days. The daily street wars with the protesters have reached a point of diminishing returns. At this point, better is the enemy of good enough; plus tear gas, pepper spray, and bullets are bad optics regardless of the merits of enforcing the law. It is now critical to pivot and focus ALL investigative and legal resources on destroying the criminal enterprise of the DFL. ICE and the other federal personnel should step back, consolidate their gains, return that broken city back to its hapless citizens, and prepare to mop up the DFL after it has been beheaded and dismantled.

“The person being sought when Saturday’s shooting occurred is a multiple offender, including a domestic assault. The Democrats are literally protecting these kinds of people”– they’ll literally accept and protect any breathing human, no matter his record or motivations, because federal apportionment is distributed on the basis of raw population, not number of citizens. As I heard an angry mom quip recently, if fed money was fed in per number of citizens instead of number of bodies, the Democrats wouldn’t give two defecations about any illegal alien.

A recent article posted on Zero Hedge mentioned the extent of corruption in the Twin Cities, even mentioned counterfeit money laundering. It seems all institutions in the Twin Cities have been corrupted to a degree. Not sure how factual the article is but from my observation it may be more fact than fiction.
It was not that long ago the state of Arizona tried to enforce US immigration laws and the courts halted what they were doing stating it was the responsibility of the Federal government and not the state. We have states that are in open rebellion on this issue. Reminds me of a similar historical time after the Civil War where the southern states were opposing the federal government from enforcing true freedom to the former slaves. Gave rise to the KKK and the compromise of 1876, allowing Republican Hayes to take the presidency in exchange for the withdrawal of federal troops from the South, ending Reconstruction and allowing white Democrats to regain political control. This allowed segregation to become a political institution for almost 100 years. I think it would be a disaster for ICE to back down on this issue with a similar bad outcome.
It seems so many laws are being violated in the twin cities, corruption, fraud, crossing state lines to incite a riot, I do not understand why more charges are not brought. It could be dealing with a corrupt judicial system is also the problem.

I just watch a video of Megyn Kelly with James O’Keefe and Mr. O’Keefe’s Minnesota experience over the weekend. Your state is in major bad way. This needs to be dealt with or it will spread to other states.
