Martin Luther King, Jr. Is a Model for All of Humanity

By January 19, 2026Commentary1 min read

I read and wrote a review of a biography of Martin Luther King, Jr. within the last couple of years.  He has always been a shining example of humanity to me.  A man who exemplified courage and persistence in achieving a worthy goal, equal opportunity and treatment under the law for all Americans, including the African-Americans who had been treated as second or even third-class entities for all of this country’s history.  He had an unparalleled ability to write and speak in a compelling manner–it was impossible to ignore the message.  And he suffered unparalleled abuse from many, ultimately being killed for who he was and what he was accomplishing.  I have no doubt that MLK, Jr. would be distressed by the methods and attitudes of today’s “protestors”, who are generally nothing more than nihilists and anarchists, out for the thrill of violence to enhance their purposeless, meaningless lives.  We need a new MLK, Jr., one who fights against identity politics and against the nihilism which is the centerpiece of Democrat party ideology and tactics.

Judging people by the content of their character which is so problematic for democrats.

Its one of the reasons that I rate Obama as one of the worst presidents in history.

Race relations have been making a slow but very steady progress in this country since since the turn of the 19th century. The introduction of DEI, the critical race theory and “blaming white supremcy” really took off during the Obama years and set back that steady improvement several decades. Instead of teaching the african american community to emulate what made the white community successful, such as hard work, good student performance, etc, the proponents of critical race theory, DEI, etc pushed the idea that they should blame whites. Obama behind the scenes encouraged that behavior.

Obama likewise was evil with his behind the scenes support for Iran and trying to make them a regional power.
