Aside from the basic lies about CO2 and temperatures, climate hysterics favorite tactic is making up a long list of horrific things that will happen on Earth because of non-existent global warming. One of their favorites is that there are more hurricanes and they are stronger. Both are lies. The number of hurricanes lie has been debunked so thoroughly that they have been forced to instead say they are stronger. Now the reality is that accurate counts of hurricane numbers have really only been possible in the satellite age, so a very short time compared to even the period since the last ice age. And hurricane strength determination is even more uncertain. A post by climate rationalist Paul Homewood confirms both the lack of change in number or strength of hurricanes. The hysterics will undoubtedly come up with some new wildly false terrible consequence of global warming.
The theory is that as sea surface temperatures (SST) rise that hurricane intensity and frequency will increase.
Almost every hurricane expert agrees that after adjusting for observational deficiencies from the 1700’s (ie the inability to observe all the hurricanes due to lower population, less shipping, no satellites ) that there has been virtually no long term change in either hurricane frequency or intensity, though there has been lots of 10-30 year short term cycles. Over the course of the last 200 years, SST has increased, but no long term change in hurricane intensity.
But the climate science experts are highly confident based on historical data that says otherwise that hurricane intensity and frequency will increase because of climate change. “Trust the Science” lol
