The Anti-Strib, Special November 13, 2025 Edition

By November 13, 2025Commentary2 min read

The shutdown is over, people are tired of the illegal immigrant crackdown and tariff lines of attack, hard to gin up much outrage over blowing up boats trafficking fentanyl into the US; so what do Dems and their media rags like the Star Tribune turn to?  Epstein?  In one of its worst journalistic abuses whereby its ideological bent influences supposed news stories, the Strib today on the front page reprints a bullshit New York Times story (funny how the Strib can’t even do its own reporting) regarding new Epstein-related emails that Dems selectively released and redacted important information on to try to make it look like Trump was involved in something sinister.  The Strib cooks up its own misleading headline.  Not until far into the story on an inner page do you learn that the emails came from an Epstein accuser who repeatedly said that Trump had nothing to do with anything going on at Epstein’s island.  If the Strib wonders why it is quickly sinking into bankruptcy and irrelevance, this story is a perfect example of how untrustworthy its content is.

In other news from the last few days, a city council member was carjacked and even the Strib in a lead editorial has to note that gee, maybe, Minneapolis has a crime and safety problem.  And in a related story that the Strib doesn’t understand is related, the top headline one day is about the bill ending the shutdown creating problems for Minnesota’s THC dealers.  Minnesota’s loose regulation of drugs endangers youth health and contributes to the crime problem.  In another related story, Minneapolis teachers came to a deal with the school district, avoiding a strike.  If anything, the pay of these teachers should be cut.  Almost no students in Minneapolis public schools meet the low standards for reading and math.  The district is mostly interested in indoctrination.  The failure of the schools also contributes to crime.
