That Old Trump Magic

By November 6, 2025Commentary3 min read

Tuesday’s disastrous election results–disastrous for the country that is–are largely due to our President.  Pursuing policies that aside from energy don’t reduce costs for consumers turns out to have a high political cost.  Voters aren’t fond of chaos and boorish behavior.  When he isn’t actually on the ballot, Trump is the Dems best friend.  Reps really need to step up their get out the vote game, especially since they are competing with Dems make up the vote fraud.  The people elected yesterday aren’t good for their states or the country.  It is their policies  that have actually caused the economic issues.  The highest inflation of all is in the cost of government–taxes and fees of all sort.

Inflation has receded somewhat, but prices didn’t come down, they just stopped growing as much.  Food prices are still rising, as are rents, the cost of medical services and insurance, the cost of day care.  Wages aren’t rising as fast and many young professionals are worried about losing their jobs to AI.  All of this is exacerbated by a media that constantly bashes Trump and blames him for the inflation.  Tariffs have played a minor role to date but you wouldn’t know that if you get your news from traditional media sources.  But there hasn’t been enough focus on how to reduce the cost of living for most consumers and there hasn’t been a clear enough message that inflation is largely due to Dem policies.

Minneapolis dodged a fatal bullet yesterday by not electing racist crook Omar Fateh, choosing instead to die by repeated stabbing from the current mayor, whose policies have led to a bankrupt and incompetent city government.  NYC chose to put the lunatic to its head and pull the trigger.  My only regret is that it is unlikely that this racist, anti-semitic, lying, incompetent clown will be able to enact his policies, due to lack of money, not lack of trying.  If he had his way, Jews, Christians and conservatives would all be put in concentration camps and every scrap of money would be taken from anyone who had it.  But he will be bad enough that more wealthy and not-wealthy residents will leave, takings jobs and taxable income with them.  All his policies need to be passed, so the country can see the full effect of irrational economic gibberish.  I sincerely hope things get really bad in NYC.

The worst though was Virginia electing as its top law enforcement official a person who actually said out loud what most Dems believe–it is okay, no, it is the right thing to do to shoot your political opponents, to kill them and their families.  Conservatives in Virginia should arm up and prepare to have to defend themselves.  This is what the current Dem party is–literal insanely violent people whose policies make the quality of life decline for everyone but who continue to get elected.  There is basically no hope for our country when this is one of our major political parties.

Trump better focus on ending the trade and other chaos and getting costs down, which means reducing the federal deficit so that actual after-market interest rates will decline.  If he doesn’t, Reps are going to get walloped in the mid-terms.

It’s not only Mamdani, Alvin Bragg was re-elected!

I’m not sure the election results are much about Trump at all and a lot more about the rest of the Republican Party. While Trump has been far from perfect in his first 10 months back in office, he’s been fought against every step of the way by a good portion of Republicans in Congress. His approval rating was highest (especially among 18-39 y/o men) when DOGE was going on. But every single Democrat and half the Republicans (along with the entire administrative state) fought he and Elon Musk tooth and nail on that.

It was the younger demographic (especially 18-29 y/o men) that won the election for Trump. And they didn’t vote for him because they’re conservative. They supported him because there’s a ton of unemployed or underemployed young men who think the system is stacked against them and they want him to break the system. Even for those who were wise enough not to take out large debt for a worthless degree, they still don’t believe they’ll ever be able to afford a home or start a family. As far as they’re concerned, he’s not doing enough, and they’ll either not vote or vote for the other party next time. Bad things have always followed when there’s been large amounts of unemployed young men who don’t think they have a future.

The ONLY way Trump can realistically do to lower the price of housing and healthcare in a reasonable time period is act NOW on immigration. He needs to deport as many illegal immigrants as he possibly can (ignoring court orders from liberal judges trying to obstruct) and completely end the fraudulent H1B visa program. All of these fancy apartment buildings that have been built around the Twin Cities and other metros around the country are filled with high concentrations of illegals. If he is able to do this, all of a sudden the cost of rent would go down dramatically and force down the price of other housing (including single family homes) as well. That’s on top of the benefits you’d get from not hospital emergency rooms flooded with people who can’t pay for their visits (which is now driving up the cost of healthcare).

I read somewhere (no idea how much truth there is) that if the government shutdown lasts 59 days (Nov 29), that Trump can start permanently firing federal employees. If that’s actually true, I’m really hoping that the shutdown goes another month and he is ruthless with downsizing. At the same time, then do whatever you need to do to bring Elon Musk back and give him the go-ahead to start implementing AI in government wherever possible and eliminating different agencies.

This is the kind of thing it’s going to take to not only win in 2026, but to save the country in any recognizable form. If the Democrats are able to take complete power back after 2028, they’ll make the fiasco they created from 2021-24 look like child’s play.

I agree about young men being demonized. It is a huge waste of human potential. Don’t think kicking out every illegal immigrant is the solution. Most of these people work incredibly hard and are the kind of citizens we should want. I would be happy to replace a lot of the slackers in the country with people who have that kind of work ethic and family culture. We need a way to legalize people who have been here for an extended time and are working and productive. I do think that social services should not be available to illegal immigrants at all, and that even legal ones should have to demonstrate that they have a job and can support themselves. The level of fraud in Minnesota is directly tied to illegal immigration and our Somali population, who should be banned from coming in legally or illegally. There whole culture is to rip off government
