Gender Dis-affirming Care

By May 8, 2025Commentary2 min read

Could there be anything more terrifying to tell a child than that they were “born in the wrong body”?  Can there be any more abusive and despicable thing to do to a child than to feed them hormones, other drugs and perform surgical mutilation of their body, leaving them incapable of normal sexual and reproductive activity and creating lifeling physical and mental health issues?  Anyone with the slightest bit of common sense would be horrified by what the completely insane gender ideologues are foisting on our children.  The entire notion of “gender dysphoria” is based on a rigid stereotyping of male or female behaviors; a stereotyping I thought we eliminated with the feminist movement.

Most western countries have adopted strict policies on gender-disaffirming care, because there is absolutely zero research-based evidence for it.  The US has finally followed suit under the new administration.  Having a rational policy has been opposed by segments of the medical community.  Guess why–because they make billions of dollars in treating this non-existent condition.  Here is the full report, it is long but really worth at least skimming.  Especially notable is the summary of the research, which generally finds that the victims of this fraudulent nonsense are harmed by it, not helped.   (HHS Report)

    Born in the wrong body should go the way of “repressed” memories and the Salem witch trials! The woke physicians who participate in this criminal abomination belong in jail.

    When I comment on other blogs about the evils of “gender affirming care” including the mental health aspect, I get accused of being a bigot, racist and hating trans.

    Why is protecting the mentally ill from the evils of gender affirming care considered anti trans?

    Adding a second comment –

    Many of the pro – trans studies point out that less the 2% of the trans subsequently regret their trans treatment.

    Yet they fail to note how pathetically bad those surveys are;

    1) The Surveys almost always have less than 50% participation rate from the patient pool even though 100% those patients require at least monthly medical an mental health treatment. How could the clinics lose track of those patients?
    2) The followup survey periods are exceptionally short, almost always five years or less which is far too short for an honest evaluation.
    3) the ones responding are almost always under significant mental health care and drugs for coping, so they are naturally going to be happy. Once out of mental health care and/or drugs, the regret rate will naturally skyrocket.
