The Anti-Strib March 30, 2025

Fraud flourished during the CV-19 era.  Yes it certainly did, especially in Minnesota, and the Walz/Ellison adminstration did nothing to stop, absolutely nothing.  But you won’t read that it the article–you won’t read that Minnesota, especially for its size, had far more fraud than other states, or that our incompetent governor and AG did nothing about it; in fact likely benefited from it, as that money was recycled to Dem politicians to keep their mouths shut.

Trump is trying to sanitize racism?  Really?  Since DIE is fundamentally racist at its core, looks to me like he is trying to eliminate it.  Earth’s soil is drying up and of course it is due to climate change.  This is likely typical whacked environmental fake research so I dismiss it on that ground alone, but note where this change is occurring it is most likely due to humans draining aquifers, which is a problem.

I normally avoid the op-ed page where the worst journalistic excesses are found, but here we see that federal cuts to the U’s research budget may threaten Minnesota’s economy.  The U is a completely unproductive research facility.  Most of the money goes for salaries of staff who do nothing, etc.  I am sorry but the money would be far better spent in the private sector.

And let’s turn to the business page where we will see what is really wrong with Minnesota’s economy.  Look at the article listing top employers in the state–the state is second with an absurd 45,000 employees, the University of Minnesota is 7th with 24,000, the federal government is 10th with 18,000, other Minnesota state universities and colleges have 14,500.  Government is killing us.  Many of the other large employers are health care provider systems, which rely heavily on government spending.  True private companies account for only five of the fifteen top employers in the state.

Yeah my favorite thing was the attempt to rehab state government. Ooooo thank goodness they didn’t sit on their laurels. It would have been so much worse. Gross.

Thank you, Kevin. You clearly explained what the problem is-and not just in Minnesota. You deserve a national audience.
