The Anti-Strib, March 10, 2025

By March 10, 2025Commentary

This will be the last one for a while, as I will be outside Minnesota for a few days.  I may or may not try to catch up when I return.  This is quite painful.  Top headline, as usual, is negative about Trump.  He “refused to rule out a recession.”  That is not what happened at all.  In an interview, he said that there would be some economic bumpiness as new policies kick in.  He sidestepped any recession talk.  Of course the Strib would now love a recession.   This from the same paper that minimized the impact of Bidementia on the economy.

And I have to mention one thing from the business pages–experts say that Musk’s tell me five things you accomplished last week, is a bad way to manage.  What a joke, a bunch of people who have even been in a business are going to tell someone who from nothing built multiple very successful businesses how to manage.  Asking people what they accomplished is extremely effective, it focuses workers on getting things done.  But again, in the Strib’s eyes, Musk bad, almost as bad as Trump.

I would expect this kind of reporting from the Strib, but came over the WSJ? I read many of their pieces and think I’m listening to MSNBC. The next generation of Murdochs may be having a big impact.

We could use you working with DOGE, Kevin. Your medical insurance expertise would be invaluable.
