The Anti-Strib, March 9, 2025

By March 9, 2025Commentary

Being objective and reporting all the relevant facts is hard and today the Strib does its laziest, ideological best to avoid any hard work.  Top headline DOGE is driving social security cuts.  Now anyone reading that would think that benefits are being cut.  Of course they aren’t.  But some of the excess, useless staff are and things are being modernized.  Like most of federal government, Social Security runs on decrepit software that costs a fortune to maintain and work with.

GOP pressured to continue town halls.  What that really means is that whacked Dems want Reps to hold forums where the whacked Dems can demonstrate their lunacy and never get anyone a chance to ask an actual question.  This is a bunch of nutcases paid to protest by George Soros at all.  It is about as democratic as a Russian election.  Minnesota food shelf visits climb to an all-time high.  What!?!  How can that be, Fat Timmy told us he has created a paradise for everyone where no one wants for anything.

Inside, the usual gibberish.  Trump is serious about Canada as the 51st state.  No he isn’t, the Strib not only can’t recognize a troll when it happens but is easily victimized by them.  Charities allied with Trump decry foreign aid cuts.  As the story itself points out, they are in no way “allied” with Trump.  Trump is to blame for the state’s budget problems.  Seriously, and the Strib wonders why people think it is nothing but a Walz mouthpiece.

You get the picture.  Go read Alpha News, at least you will get some accurate stories.  The Strib isn’t fit for anything.
