The state has a huge deficit. Guess who the responsible party–Fat Little Timmy Walz, the Incomparable Liar, the Incompetent Blowhard–blames? Trump. Not even Minnesota’s fawning media is buying it–oh, wait a minute, the Strib is. After noting that the project deficit is growing rapidly, the paper spends the entire part of the story on the front page blaming Republicans. Not until you get inside do you even learn that Dems blew through a $17 billion surplus, raised taxes by $10 billion and raised spending even more. The bad news now is that every Minnesotan knows Timmy is a big, fat liar and everyone knows who is to blame for our deficit, which will only get worse and worse because of….
This other story on the front page. Businesses are desperately trying to roll back the whacked family leave plan passed by Dems, which included a huge tax increase and basically allows any worker at any time to say they need paid time off for any pretext. Businesses are bailing on Minnesota as fast as they can, and small businesses in particular cannot afford this and remain profitable or competitive. So yeah, lets keep kicking businesses out of the state and wonder why we have a deficit.
And of the course the other main story on the front hits Musk and Trump–Trump bad, Musk even worse. His DOGE staff might see a database of federal employees’ earnings. Horrifying, to Dems at least, because then we will see how grotesquely overpaid this elite class is, how little they actually do and what a complete waste of taxpayer dollars the federal government is.
Inside–butterflies are supposedly disappearing but read the description of the research this is supposedly based on–bullshit counts by whacked enviro organizations. European leaders take over after Trump abandons them. Really, when did expecting rich countries to pay for their own defense become abandonment? Dems vote against allowing people to defend themselves when they are threatened with guns, knives or any other weapon. you are just supposed to get killed or injured, because violent criminals rights are more important than those of the average person. Protesters object to people who broke the law to come into this country, some of whom are criminals, drug dealers, etc., being arrested and hopefully deported. And Dems wonder why they are losing.
That is all I can take right now.
On the plus side, just think of the economic stimulus and explosive growth that will result when all these self-proclaimed geniuses fired from the federal government hit the private sector. It will be incredible. Can’t wait.
Yeah, be interesting to see what kind of jobs those people can get. Dishwasher maybe
Deep breath. Oh my. Just keep debunking! I appreciate it cuz I cannot stand reading the rag. You are taking one for the team. I asked Grok what the revenue forecast is and got this: “Current Trend (2025): Likely continued digital revenue growth, print revenue erosion, and an emerging reliance on philanthropy, though exact figures post-2023 are unavailable.” Print is dead yes but the future money only lies in digital subscriptions (seems precarious) and hopeful philanthropy. Highly challenging future for the Strib.
I have no doubt that butterflies actually are disappearing. Anecdotal evidence. When I was a little kid we had butterfly nets and we’d catch butterflies on summer days for entertainment. They were everywhere in amazing diversity and easy to catch. Otherwise an 8 year old boy is going to get bored rapidly. I’ve noticed for at least the last 40 years that there are hardly any butterflies around anymore. I see fewer ALL summer than I used to see in a single day. Seems like a non-fake problem to me.
There is no real science that I can find suggesting that butterfly populations are decreasing. I see butterflies constantly at home and at our cabin near Brainerd
