Climate Hysteria Debunked, February 26, 2025

By February 26, 2025Commentary1 min read

The hits just keep coming for the climate hysterics.  I have explained before how the temperatures that aAre measured by various methods and instruments and then “adjusted”.  Somehow the adjustments always seem to support the hysteric narrative that human emissions of CO2 have caused immense warming.  One of the favorite hysteric adjustments is something called homogenization, which in my skeptical, maybe even cynical, worldview is designed to take urban heat effect temperatures from cities and spread those artificially high temperatures into surrounding areas.  A new study looks at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration homogenization practices.  The study found that few of the adjustments were made consistently across temperature measurement sites and few could be explained or justified.  Homogenization is intended to correct for items like changing the thermometer type at a station or the time of measurement, so it could be an important adjustment to ensure accurate measurement of temperature trends.  But humans are doing the homogenizing and they tend to impose their own biases on the process and you can guess which way those biases run.  (Homogenization Study)
