November Non-Hysterical Climate Science

By November 11, 2024Commentary

Another interesting study that challenges the hysterical narrative that CO2 is causing the Earth to warm uncontrollably, etc, etc, etc.   Without going into too detailed a scientific explanation, the authors attempted to ascertain the relative impact of CO2 and water vapor in the atmosphere on temperature.  According to their calculations, CO2 may account for 4% to 5% of the effect and water vapor for 90% or more.  Water vapor’s role as clouds is particularly prominent, a fact that other climate scientists have noted.  Clouds have a complex effect on weather and climate, an effect which is as likely to provide cooling as warming.  The authors very proudly, boldly, and in the current environment, courageously suggest that science has become too political and less interested in truth, and that climate science is a leading example of this pernicious trend.  Unfortunately, neither this study nor the authors’ views on science will get any exposure in the traditional media.  (SCE Article)
