Election Observations

By October 3, 2024Commentary

We are about a month away from a very consequential election.  The fundamental question is whether we continue to destroy our standard of living and our society for truly insane ideological reasons or do we return to a more rational style of governance.   Harris is filling the airways with vacuous, content-free ads.  She and Timmy Walz travel the country spreading lies.  Apparently a surprisingly high percentage of the population is susceptible to these ludicrous appeals to inanity.  JD Vance did a very credible job of dealing with the issues asked about in the VP debate, while having to also combat the moderators, who did their best to protect Tim Walz from his lies and incompetence.  I was disappointed that Vance did not more aggressively point out Fat Timmy’s essential fabulist nature and the damage he has done here in Minnesota.  But Vance apparently felt it more important to soften his image and appear reasonable.  At some point we will all learn that there is no reasoning with the irrational pro(re)gressive ideology.  I have no interest in getting along with Fat Timmy or his ilk, and I know it is impossible to get them to recognize the error of their ways.

Let’s be very honest–during the Incompetent Blowhard’s reign, wealth and business has fled Minnesota, the state’s finances have been jeopardized by excessive spending, fraud and waste run rampant in government, educational attainment is down dramatically, crime is up dramatically and the overall quality of living is declining.  This is what Tim Walz wants to do to America–make everything worse.  This ideology and the people who support it must be eliminated from our public life.

I agree with your point, but I understand why JD chose the moderation of his image. That said, he could have suggested that perhaps Harris chose Walz BECAUSE of his policies and then pointed out the data about education, taxes, utility costs, population drain, etc and connected the two by saying that Kamala clearly endorses such distressing governance.

As long as the over-class gets bigger piece of the shrinking pie, all is well.
