The US is at a tipping point in many ways. Our debt may already have put us in such a deep hole that we can’t recover. Our young people have a lot of mental illness, many behave like complete goofballs, have low work ethic and little appreciation for the country they live in. The lack of national purpose is striking, so people make up their own, like save the world from fake global warming, or convince every child that they should mutilate their sexual organs. If the whacko Dems win, we are done, both economically and socially, and there is no telling how bad conflicts in the world will get. Harris and Walz and are the most incompetent duo one could imagine. China, Russia, Iran are all salivating over the prospect. And the Republicans of course nominated the worst possible candidate from the field, the only one who could lose. But he would be better than Harris.
The most revealing thing about the convention isn’t the amount of lying going on, that has been standard Dem fare for decades. It is the new level of depravity that the party has reached in abusing the English language. Democrats aren’t democrats, they are governcrats. They think they know better than us so they are entitle to govern us–to tell us what we have to do. And then they attempt to redefine this as “freedom”. Basically they were saying you should be free to be governed by us. There is a reason government employees are almost all whacked pro(re)gressives–they are sanctimonious prigs who look down their nose at the common people as they tell us how we have to live, while giving themselves huge compensation and benefit packages from the taxes they extort from the common people.
Robert Kennedy, Jr. is a bit of a flake but he absolutely hit the nail on the head about what the Dems have become–the party of the rich, anti-democratic, anti-free speech, completely authoritarian and corrupt. Hopefully he makes a difference and people take his advice. Otherwise we are well and truly f**ked.
I’m no fan of the Democrats but for me this election boils down to only one issue: The “stolen election” lie. I’m sure there are one or two real psychos in the Republican party who actually believe that pathetic story, and Trump may be one of them, but most of them know it’s a lie, including RFK. Any politician who spews that dangerous BS is unfit for public office and until Trump disappears from the scene and the Republicans get their sanity back I won’t be caught dead voting for them.
hat is a disappointingly shortsighted perspective. I too would just as soon not hear about the 2020 election any more. But if your concern is electoral integrity, which is the heart of democracy, then it is the Democrat party you should be worried about. Using lawsuits to try to keep your primary opposition off the ballot, an effort which was unanimously rejected by the Supreme Court. Using lawsuits and last minute rule changes and other underhanded tactics to keep RFK, Jr., the Green Party and Cornell West off the ballot in multiple states. Nominating a candidate who never ran, never got a single vote, and doesn’t intend to answer any questions about what her positions really are and why they suddenly changed. And Democrats have actively worked to suppress the speech of those they oppose, including on social media. hardly the stuff of a strong democracy.
And if you think Democrats aren’t actively encouraging illegal voting you are very wrong. The state of Virginia recently reviewed its voter rolls and removed several thousand non-citizens. Georgia had a similar experience, and so would any state which tried to ensure that only people legally entitled to vote were on the rolls. Minnesota Democrats sought and got an exemption to a federal law which permits outside parties to audit voter rolls. What are they hiding?
That approach also ignores the immense damage already to our financial and economic situation by Democrat policies. I don’t think you can imagine the level of inflation and recession which is inevitable at this point and will only be worsened by continuing massive deficits. So I encourage you to give this issue a rethink.
Kevin, you make a good case and I’ll continue thinking about it but I can’t picture myself voting for someone I consider evil versus someone I consider misguided but a decent person. Thanks.
Democrats are just misguided decent people …. WOW!! History is full of these wonderful souls who just lost their way a little; Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Zedung, Minh, Sung, Castro … wonderful dudes. History needs a woman on the list, let’s make it Harris. The Democratic party, in its entirety, has sold its soul to the Globalist Marxist movement, funded by offshore entities … Soros, et al of the Open Society Foundation.
WE are not voting for Republicans or Democrats … WAKE the F UP!! WE are voting or Globalism (D) vs. Nationalism (R). The EU is a perfect example of what will happen to our country if you let this continue. We will become part of the NA Union with Mexico & Canada (this has already been written up … think The Rand Corp). And soon thereafter, poof, no government, just the UN, NATO and the WHO running the world with unelected misguided, but decent people.
If you want to be a Globalist, please pick your dictatorship of choice and I’ll be glad to buy you a One-Way ticket.
I’m happy to vote Republican as soon as they nominate somebody who isn’t a complete POS.

You don’t vote for ‘people’ … you vote for policy!! Name ONE policy that the Donkeys are offering that’s good for our constitutional republic …
I don’t agree that Trump is “…the worst possible candidate from the field, the only one who could lose.” I base that on his numerous rallies that routinely fill venues to capacity, with overflow crowds. Stadiums full for sporting events erupt in cheers when he walks in. I’ve seen him reach out to every demographic and be happily received. A member of black business leaders wanted to dub him, ‘The First Black President’ because he did more for their community than any previous President. I also respectfully disagree with our friend here, who feels that Trump is “evil” and a “p.o.s.” I say respectfully because they appear to be open to hearing a differing viewpoint. I’m not prepared to do a dissertation on the topic but, from memory, Trump donated all of his presidential salary to good causes, he donated at least $100,000 of his own money to flood victims plus trucked down supplies, he honors service members. I’ve seen him reach out to people who are suffering. During a recent interview with a young podcaster – who mentioned he was in recovery from alcoholism, Trump became the concerned parent/grandparent. Trump ended the interview with, ” I hope you do well with your situation.” He recently said his reasoning for running for President is so, “the world doesn’t blow itself up.” None of that seems like the actions of an evil person.
People who came from totalitarian-run countries, are begging U.S. to put Trump back in office, so we don’t become what they escaped from. Real evil comes when governments become too powerful and crush the free will of their people. Real evil is an assassination attempt on a person’s life and the subsequent remarks of, “Aim better next time.” If a person is truly concerned about evil, start on that side of the fence.
