A Heads Up About Marijuana Risks

As usual big money is behind everything, including the movement to legalize marijuana.  I kind of don’t care either way, but I do care about what it clearly does to adolescent mental health and I do care about the way proponents are lying about it being a harmless drug–it isn’t by a long shot.  The big money behind legalization is trying to hide the harms.  The latest research to sneak out, however, finds that it is associated with an increase in head and neck cancers, which, for anyone who doesn’t have experience with this particular form of cancer, is one of the worst you can have –disfiguring and deadly.  So it’s your life to ruin, but at least be aware of the risks and don’t pass the costs of your foolishness on the public.  (JAMA Article)
