Some People, Okay, a Lot of People, Are too Stupid or too Stubborn to Learn

By August 4, 2024Commentary2 min read

I get a lot of push wires with health and other news.  One recently said, in essence, California has a lot of CV-19 cases, is it time to bring back masks and hand sanitizer?  Can people really not have learned that none of that made one bit of difference in stopping spread of the virus, or any virus for that matter?

Everyone knows that our media is corrupt and generally in the bag for whacked Dems.  Trust in the media is at all-time lows, incredibly low, as a result.  But apparently large numbers of our fellow citizens are falling for the bullshit spread by a fawning media about Kamela Harris, who has yet to do one single interview or press conference.  It is all lies, all the time, and people fall for it.  She is an incompetent walking policy disaster who doesn’t have Biden’s excuse of being old.

We have had huge federal budget deficits for years, decades.  It is the fault of Dems, mostly, but Reps have been bad too, a lot of talk and no action.  Those deficits have caused inflation and economic dislocation by spending vast sums of money on unproductive assets, like renewable energy plants.  They have caused a level of debt from which we cannot escape.  And now we are going to witness another massive blowup of the equity markets, as it becomes apparent that the economy is rotten–only propped up by all that deficit spending, but consumers can’t keep up anymore so retail sales are collapsing.  And if we don’t take immediate action to rein in spending and stop the excessive dependence of tens of millions of people on government handouts, the pain will not stop and things will not get better.

We all need to face reality and make the hard decisions that are the only way our situation will ever improve.

I’m reminded of one of my favorite quotes by Will Rogers – “There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to touch an electric fence.”

We live in a time where too many people don’t have enough common sense to understand the consequences of their actions and touch the electric fence – not once, but multiple times.

Spot on! Lies, lies and more lies. That’s all the Democrats have to offer, and unfortunately the media is too biased to live up to its journalistic roots.

The only good thing about bringing back mask mandates is that private school enrollment will go up dramatically.

I’ve never understood why we’ve suffered basically no economic consequences for all of the deficit spending for all of my life (outside of the recent inflation). While I will always suspect that consequences are coming at some point, I’ll believe it when I see it. It’s just been so long since we’ve been running massive deficits and the consequences never come.

Things will come crashing down for Kamala at some point once the honeymoon period is over and she actually has to speak. It’ll just be a question of whether or not the Democrats can harvest enough ballots successfully like they did in 2020.

US Census says there were 252,274,000 voting age people in 2020 and that 67%, or 169,023,580 (a record number) voted. If you go to any election site, you’ll find that there were 158,431,190 votes tabulated … what happened to the other 10,592,390? Biden ‘won’ by a few million …
