Whacked Dems’ new attempt to divert attention from Bidementia is to portray something called the 2025 Project as some neanderthal exercise to put the country back in the stone age. Now I don’t understand what the pro(re)gressives would object to this since that is the effect of their policies, particularly their energy policies. But desperate times and so on. In any event the 2025 project is the work of a group put together and headed by the Heritage Foundation, a very long-standing and actually pretty mainstream conservative think-tank. This is not some new fringe group. As they have done for almost every Republican president, they put together their wish list for policy and government changes. And again, I encourage you to read at least a summary or even the table of contents, it is all pretty standard conservative stuff–basically make government smaller and more efficient and stop the extreme identity politics that are dividing the country.
All seems very sensible. Of course, as they always do, the Dems are lying about what is in the paper at every opportunity, and also no surprise, the media picks up the lies and runs with them. And of course they are attempting t0 tie Trump to this document, which he clearly had nothing to do with. In fact, in general Trump cares less about this level of policy detail. He just wants a few really big picture, emotion-inducing one-liners. Which is probably pretty smart as the Dems gradually destroy themselves. In fact I am very impressed that Trump has basically kept quiet while Bidementia wanders around angry, confused, incoherent and staring vacantly.
Here is the link, as usual always best to read for yourself and come to your own judgments. (2025 Document)
“I think, like President Trump, I haven’t looked all that deeply at Project 2025, but it seems that Democrats on this committee, sort of like Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, if they say ‘Project 2025’ enough, their presidential candidate becomes alive again.” – Ben Shapiro
