Read this survey from Gallup and tell me what more I can say about it. Who have thought that how you parent might be associated with your child’s mental health? Who would have thought that not imbuing your children with shame about who they are, inculcating principles of discipline and responsibility, setting limits on their behavior and teaching them the truth about our country and the world would make a difference in their mental health. I suspect most readers are not surprised that conservatives do a better job of preparing their children for the world and helping them avoid mental health issues. But liberals can read it and weep.
