You Must Be Kidding, You Cannot Be Serious

The Star Tribune, generally a pile of worthless dreck, has decided to seek a change in fortunes by competing with The Onion and The Babylon Bee, as it apparently is shifting to satire. In its lead editorial on Sunday, the paper endorsed Little Timmy Walz, the Incompetent Blowhard, for re-election, with a headline that noted his “steady leadership”. I choked laughing. This can only be satire. Little Timmy panics at the sight of uncooked eggs. He panicked when rioters went batshit after George Floyd died. He panicked when the epidemic started. He can’t find fraud when it stares him in the face, although he can be pardoned for that, because the fraud was filling his campaign coffers.

In all seriousness, how could anyone say that Little Timmy provides steady leadership?  The guy is a cowardly weasel who never takes responsibility for anything and buries the truth 100 feet deep with the biggest blizzard of lies ever seen.  The only other possible explanation for the endorsement of Little Timmy is that the Strib is looking forward to four more years of riots, wasteful government spending, more drug and alcohol deaths and continued ruination of children’s lives, so that they have something to write about in their pathetic rag of a paper that is completely anti-journalistic.

Aside from the pain of having to live with four more years of this dreadful dunce as our Governor, I would note that the Star Tribune is the exemplar of everything that has gone wrong with the media.  Journalism is supposed to be about giving people the facts, all the relevant facts; providing some neutral and balanced analysis and, perhaps, allowing an expression of opinion across the spectrum of beliefs.  The Strib, like most newspapers, has become a dedicated arm of the Democrat party, and in particular its woke, whacked progressive wing, which at this point is the only body part left that formerly more formidable political organization.  The Strib routinely uses language that denigrates Republican activities and statements and uplifts Democrat ones.  There isn’t even a pretense of neutrality or objectivity.

So endorsing Little Timmy is exactly what would be expected, but doing so because he has shown steady leadership?  That is just rude.
