Coronamonomania Lives Forever, Part 110 (But Putin’s Reign Won’t)

By February 25, 2022Commentary

Okay, back to the epidemic.  The Democrats endorsement of virus suppression measures was always politically-based.  They thought they could score points with an electorate they scared to death.  As usual, they failed to think through the end game and the long run consequences of that strategy, so they find themselves with a populace that has decided they were lied to, that the threat wasn’t as bad as portrayed, that the mitigation measures made no difference and they just want to be done.  So now the party is trying to figure out how to get out of the mess it created.  So check out this polling memo and advice.  And is or is not this exactly what the more enlightened governors in the party have been doing, and expect the same from the Presidementia if we ever get a State of the Disunion address.  Now the hilarious thing is the first line that said all those futile, ineffective measures were “necessitated”.  In other words, we will never take responsiblility (remember the PV (new appellation for our Governor–Prevaricating Weasel) who literally kept saying the virus was making him do things) and we will never admit we were wrong.   (Dem. Polling Memo)

I am pretty much done spending any time on CDC studies or mask research.  They are generally abominable and a laughable disgrace.  Here is the formerly reputable, now completely woke politicized Journal of the American Medical Association publishing another piece of vomitus that says masks prevent secondary transmission.  But here is what is hilarious.  This isn’t new research, it is the same bullshit from Iowa originally put together by the CDC way back in 2020.  It was garbage then; it is garbage now.  (JAMA Article)

Not only are a lot of hosps attributed to CV-19 just incidental, but many are actually acquired in the hospital and these should also be reported separately.  The Wall Street Journal discusses the issue in this article and finds high numbers of patients who were infected in the hospital, with the problem intensifying during the Omicron wave.  (WSJ Article)

No one now doubts that the vax are not that effective against infection or transmission after a few months.  This is yet another contact tracing study showing that vaccination seemed less effective against transmission of Delta than prior variants, and that effectiveness against Delta was seriously attenuated over time.  The effect on transmission was not significantly explained by differences in viral load in Delta infectees versus other ones.  (NEJM Article)

Another study, this time from India, comparing immunity from infection, from vax, and hybrid immunity.  Both vax and infection produced a good immune response out to at least 8 months, with hybrid immunity being somewhat stronger.  Infection alone was better than vax alone.   (Medrxiv Paper)

And this research from Italy examined association of vax with reduced hospitalization risk, finding that it was substantial, although beginning to lessen after 6 months.  Longer followup is needed to fully assess protection.  (Medrxiv Paper)

An editorial in the British Medical Journal discusses the wastefulness and uselessness of testing of aysmptomatic contacts with rapid antigen tests.  Overuse of testing is a major issue in the mismanagement of the epidemic.  (BMJ Article)

The study is based on VAERS data, which is iffy, although it could suggest a signal worthy of further investigation.  In any event, several ear related conditions, such as vertigo, tinnitus and loss of hearing appeared associated with vaccination.  (Medrxiv Study)

VEARS was never intended to be anything else but a ‘signaling’ platform. It was never intended to be used as an accurate database of medical information. It’s great that you finally captured the intent and spirit of the system with your last comment. Had this same ‘logic’ and historical protocol been applied to the mRNA product rollout, there’s a good chance we’d have a much better product on the market by now.

Any truth that you’re aware of regarding the Chinese C19 vaccine that’s made from the attenuated virus itself? I’ve read that it’s working very well … in unverifiable articles.

    • Kevin Roche says:

I think an attenuated virus vaccine might be better, but still not great, just not a good history for respiratory virus vaccines, for whatever reason

  • Darin Kragenbring says:

    Hi Mr. Roche,

I think you have an incorrect link for the JAMA mask study. I am slightly embarrassed that I want to look at it!

    Cheers!

Isn’t this the same publication that published the recent study on ivermectin? Hmmmm…..maybe they’re not so reputable there either. Okay, I won’t open that argument up again.

Here’s what floored me this last week….off the subject, but I was appalled. A fellow RN friend volunteered last week to inoculate 5-11 yr olds. I was unaware that MN families are being offered $200 gift cards for each kid vaccinated. https://mn.gov/covid19/vaccine/vaccine-rewards/kids-deserve-a-shot/
She said they were mostly low income, immigrant, non english speaking families. So some prolific families could get up to 1K to get their kids vaxxed. She commented that there were no adverse effects during the 15 minute wait for the kids she jabbed, thank God. I thought to myself, well, I hope there’s no adverse effects 10 yrs from now.

This was a DEM sponsored letter to the CDC just before they ‘updated their’ policies. It really captures what we’re up against. Seems the entire federal system has been captured by the DEM’s and their totalitarian mindset and vision.

From the 4th paragraph of the jama mask study –
“However, nearly 26% of contacts who were with an infected person for at least 2 hours became infected compared with about 14% of contacts who spent less time.”

I was frequently criticized for stating that Time and space (social distancing and reduction in time of interaction) were vastly more important of the 3 major protocols than the masking. Every pro masker acted like masking was the most important protocol.

Looks like the study confirmed my statements from early 2020

The biggest joke of the entire ‘Mask’ debacle is that the boxes of blue ‘hospital looking’ masks now say, “Not For Medical Use”. They used to say, ‘Good for Bacteria’. Also OSHA still requires any employee who wears a ‘dust mask’ to go through a physical exam and fit test. But the moronic government is advocating letting everyone run around with who knows what on their faces advocating that they actually combat an infection. This is outright FRAUD and employers who have to follow the OSHA mask guidelines are NOT enforcing any mask protocols. If you or I put out a ‘medical device’ and claimed it had certain properties/benefits like this, or directly violated the OSHA standards, we’d be locked up.

  • Aaron Goldberg says:

You may be tired of debunking mask research, but I’m still required to wear a mask at work, so the issue remains important.
