This time last year the epi-Nazis were telling us not to get together with our beloved family and friends; to instead cower in our basements and suck our thumbs. I was appropriately outraged and suggested that everyone do what they would normally do, without masks and without staying ten miles apart. Hug each other and enjoy one of those precious few moments in life when we reciprocally revel in our pleasure and joy at interacting with other humans. To a lesser degree, we are getting some of the same stupid advice this year. But I am deeply gratified to see that most of the population has no intention of paying any attention to this nonsense, and instead will have a traditional celebration of Thanksgiving. This may be partly due to vaccinations, or people who have already been infected, but I think there is a general sense of exhaustion at the constant terror campaign and perhaps a more general awareness that CV-19 is not a serious threat to almost everyone and that we will just have to live with it.
So I want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving, make up for lost time with friends and family, nothing is more important in life. And resolve that each of us will do everything we can to ensure that never again do we allow governments and the public health establishments to take away our basic freedoms to live our lives as we choose, particularly when the actions that do so have no precedent and no basis in research or data. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Amen to those sentiments!
Right back at you Kevin.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, and thanks for keeping up your blog. It’s really helped me and many others.
We have been watching “Dopesick” on Hulu, the series based on the Oxy Contin/ Sackler family story. FDA got played like a fiddle, got hood-winked into approving Oxy-Contin as “non-addictive”, had regulators get high paying jobs at Purdue Pharma, and then rejected evidence from the Drug Enforcement Agency on the growing number of opiod related deaths.
The same FDA that approved all these vaccines and has spewed forth bad public health advice on Covid 19 for the last 18 months.
You are so right, DC bureaucrats continuing to be untrustworthy sources of info. The swamp that cannot be drained.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Blessings to you and your family Kevin. You are among a very small group who has taken on the yeoman’s work of sorting through the fog of this war and leading rather that following. I hope you can truly disconnect from the blog for a bit, decompress and put the energy into the family. We certainly have the best screwed up country in the world, much to be thankful for regardless of our current situation.
Thank you, that is very kind, and I hope you and all the readers truly enjoy the spirit of family and friendship at Christmas
thanksgiving too, since that is the upcoming holiday!! I am spending way too much time on CV and it is affecting my brain
