We are not going to make any definitive pronouncements, but Dave Dixon’s latest chart of the big picture suggests we might be past the week in cases in early October, to be followed by hospitalizations a week or so later and deaths a couple of weeks later. This chart lags a week because that is how long it takes for reporting on cases for a particular date to be pretty complete. And we are hesitant in part because the knuckleheads at the state just browbeat a bunch of schools into accepting grants for the most idiotic student testing program ever, so we can expect a new wave of false and low positives. Parents, do not under any circumstances test your asymptomatic children, even if they had contact with a supposed positive.
