Testing and Hospitalizations

By July 19, 2021Commentary1 min read

Good detective work by DD, charts showing that testing has declined across age groups, and actually has declined dramatically, and hospitalization rates appear to rise, but the absolute number is still low, so it is purely an artifact of less testing finding fewer cases.

Missing one critical number: Test positivity rate. Not to mention, statistic ‘Hospital admission case rate” is very poorly defined. Is this rate amongst those tested or those who test positive, or what? Nor cites to sources for data. No way to make any sense at all, much less conclusions, without a lot more.
