The Mask Stuff is Getting Beyond Silly

Chart below, Germany versus US over the last few months.  You may recall that Germany was an outlier among European countries, with lower cases and deaths, supposedly due to how well they handled the epidemic, including all kinds of mask mandates.  They had as bad a fall and winter as the US did.  And note the mask mandate being changed to “medical masks”, and of course, as usual, make the mitigation order after cases have already begun declining and claim the change had something to do with the decline.  Once again, the similarity in case curves in various places is uncanny and bespeaks our inability to influence transmission significantly.  Thanks again to Ianmsc on Twitter.
